BPI 1 MR Review | Most Potent POW Around?

BPI 1 MR Review: This is another high performing pre-workout drink. There are some mixed messages about this supplement. At the same time, there is a silver lining in the new formula for those who live in Canada and/ or are training for the olympics.

The new formula took out the ingredient 1 3 dimethylamylamine which is a powerful stimulant that is banned in Canada and some professional sports. Even though this ingredient has been taken out of the new formula, the effectiveness of the supplement is just as strong if not stronger.

Many bodybuilders love this supplement. They report it to be very similar to the pre-workout supplement Jack3d. Some even find BPI 1 MR to be too powerful. Let’s look at the reported pro’s and con’s from real people around the world.

Reported Pro’s:

1) Endurance is noticeably increased

2) Sense of focus is intense

3) Stats in the gym instantly improve

4) Energy is increased exponentially

Reported Con’s:

1) Some find the taste to be rancid

2) Too strong for some, makes them feel like they’re on drugs

3) Some experience a harsh come down

4) Tolerance tends to build up

Active Ingredients (8 grams/ serving):

BPI 1 MR reports to have no filler ingredients. In comparison to Jack3d there are many more “active ingredients” listed in the complex. Let’s take a look at each one to make sure that they are all known to be effective.

Thiamin (135 mg, 9000%):

Listed before the active ingredients, but amount is substantial so i wanted to look into it. Known to improve appetite, memory, energy levels and mood. Classified as a B1 vitamin which is water soluble.

Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate:

This amino acid has not been scientifically proven to enhance muscle growth, strength, or endurance. Studies using this ingredient incorporating weight training shows no improvement that can be accredited to Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate.

Beta-Alanine:

Helps to increase ATP production. Scientific studies have found this ingredient to directly assist the growth of muscle, increase in strength and endurance. Works by converting into carnosine in the body, ingesting carnosine directly doesn’t have the same positive effect.

Taurine:

Nothing magical here, but has been known to help with heart function, improved blood flow, and acts as an effective anti-oxidant. Ingesting 1000 mg per kilo of body weight is acceptable, very hard to overdose on.

Creatine Monohydrate:

Increases production of ATP by converting ADP (waste material) back into ATP to be used as energy. As a result, increases strength, endurance, and muscle growth. Saturation takes place by consuming 1.5-3 grams daily.

N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine:

Better absorbed than regular L-Tyrosine, also can be supplemented in smaller doses this way avoiding irritability, anxiety and insomnia. Used to increase alertness, neuro-transmitter production, and brain performance under stress.

Caffeine Anhydrous:

Absorbed faster than regular caffeine found in coffee and green tea. Increases mental alertness and focus while also decreasing recovery time after workouts.

Citrus Sinensis:

Commonly used to treat nervous disorders. This ingredient is probably meant to try and counter act the come down of BPI 1 MR and lessen the amount of anxiety experienced.

Kigelia Africana:

May possess anti-caner properties, be an effective anti-oxidant, and act as an anti-inflammatory.

Paullinia Cupana:

Also known as guarana which is mainly made up of caffeine. This is of course a mild stimulant meant to increase mental awareness and focus.

Yerba Mate:

Full of vitamins and minerals and is known to provide the sensation of caffeine without any jitters or anxiety. This ingredient doesn’t contain any caffeine, its stimulating effect comes from the mateine inside of it.

Adhatoda Vasica:

Has been known for treating respiratory problems and clearing phloem from the back of the throat. I have noticed that some pre-workout supplements such as Jack3d does seem to produce extra phloem at the back of one’s throat.

Schisandra Chinensis:

Helps with memory and vision, known to be an anti-depressant, increases energy and mental alertness, also helps the immune system. Jack3d contains this ingredient as well, and when I take Jack3d I do notice an increase in vision ability. Provides clean energy and a sense of happiness. Is more powerful when combined with caffeine.

Visnea Mocanera:

May have a therapeutic effect and may help treat diarrhea and the healing of tissue. It is known for having muscle building effects.

Vitis Vinifera:

May help with circulation, eye strain, and heart disease. Derived from grape seeds. FDA has not studied this ingredient and has not set a max UL however side effects can include head aches, sore throat and abdominal pain.

Final Thoughts:

BPI 1 MR looks to have some good ingredients on their label. Some do in fact seem to be possible fillers. Personally I could do without the Arginine, Taurine, Kigelia Africana, Visnea Mocanera, and Vitis Vinifera but at the same time these ingredients don’t anger me (they might have some positive effects).

The reason the ratings aren’t above 8.5 like Jack3d is the come down and lack of great taste. The overall effectiveness of this supplement does seem to be top notch. For those that are sensitive to stimulants, you best be cautious with this product.

One thing that I did notice is that one scoop of BPI 1 MR is equivalent to 3 scoops of Jack3d. People claim that BPI states that you can still take up to 3 scoops of the powder, that’d be equivalent to 9 scoops of Jack3d…

That may have been true with the old formula, but on the new 1.M.R label it states to take only 1 scoop for a serving. Overall, due to the effectiveness, it does qualify as one of the best supplements for muscle gain.

Taking a high performance multivitamin is important when working out as well. The best multivitamin that I have come across is Universal Animal Pak Vitamin. The amount of nutrients in the paks is incredible.

Overall, BPI managed to eliminate 1 3 dimethylamylamine while still producing a highly effective product, for that they get a thumbs up. If you’re looking for an alternative to jack3d this might be the one for you.
